Aksarben Tirc Criterium Bicycle Race
Saturday, August 8 at Aksarben Village, Omaha
About
Witness an exciting high-speed bike race, called a criterium, at the Aksarben Tirc (Crit Nebraska). A criterium is a bicycle road race with numerous laps on a short closed circuit. More than 500 top-notch cyclists are expected to ride the 1-mile loop exceeding speeds of 35 miles per hour in several separate races throughout the afternoon and evening beginning.
What to expect
A criterium is a road race built around repeated laps on a short, closed circuit, which makes the Aksarben Tirc a compact, spectator-friendly cycling event. Riders compete in separate races on a 1-mile loop through Aksarben Village, creating frequent passes, tight turns and sustained speed without requiring spectators to move far from the course.
