Maestro JoAnn Falletta and GRAMMY©-nominated pianist Joyce Yang return to the Holland Center to open the 2026/27 season with Gershwin’s jazzy Piano Concerto in F. Written by one of America’s beloved composers during the golden age of Jazz, the large orchestrations amplify tunes you’ll be whistling as you leave the hall. The celebratory Fanfare on Amazing Grace and Strauss’ operatic melodies perfectly bookend this opening concert with energy and brilliance.

JoAnn Falletta, the Omaha Symphony’s Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Advisor, conducts, with Joyce Yang featured at the piano. Yang returns to the Holland Center for Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F, a work that brings the composer’s jazz-age language into a full orchestral setting.
