The Lesser Detectives
Friday, October 23 at Florence City Hall, Omaha
About this event
This October, Florentine Players present Lesser Detectives, a witty whodunit by Rhea Mabalay Dowhower. Meet misfit sleuths, suspicious secrets and plenty of laughs as a wrongly accused maid relies on unlikely heroes to crack the case.
Who's playing
The Lesser Detectives is presented by Florentine Players at Florence City Hall, continuing the Omaha company’s run of community-theater productions in the Florence neighborhood.
What to expect
The story mixes manor-house mystery with broad comic character work: a family curse, a secretive maid, a lord determined to solve the curse through deduction, and a house full of detectives. Rose’s would-be allies include a peppy teen sleuth, a precocious child detective and an older mystery writer who insists she is not a detective at all.
Why go
Go for a light, witty whodunit built around misfit investigators, suspicious secrets and a wrongly accused heroine trying to stay one step ahead of the case. Florence City Hall gives the production a neighborhood-theater setting in Omaha, suited to an accessible night of live mystery and laughs.
