Black Stone Cherry???s Bonfire Nights: An Acoustic Evening
Wednesday, November 18 at The Waiting Room - NE, Omaha
About this event
Black Stone Cherry's Bonfire Nights: An Acoustic Evening is a stripped-down show from the Kentucky hard rock band, at The Waiting Room Lounge in Omaha. The band has nearly twenty years and eight albums behind it. This format puts the songwriting up front. The Waiting Room is Benson's main live music room.
Who's playing
Black Stone Cherry is a Kentucky foursome that has stayed together since its self-titled debut almost twenty years ago. Their sound pulls from rock, metal, roots, blues and soul. Their latest album, Celebrate, was recorded at High Street Studios in Bowling Green and includes a cover of Simple Minds' Don't You (Forget About Me).
What to expect
Bonfire Nights is billed as an intimate acoustic performance, so expect the band's songs in a quieter form than their usual loud sets. The Waiting Room is a comfortable, open room with good sound and lighting, and the stage is easy to see from most spots.
Why go
A band this size rarely plays a room like this without amps turned up, and the acoustic format shows off the writing and the way the four members work together. The Waiting Room anchors Benson's Maple Street, so there are restaurants and bars nearby for before or after the show.
