About this event
Leanna Firestone w/ Sydney Sprague brings Firestone’s Victory Lap Tour to The Waiting Room in Omaha, pairing candid indie-pop songwriting with Sprague’s indie-rock presence. Firestone is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for diaristic lyrics, acoustic-driven production, and pop hooks, including music from The Answer and its lead single “Victory Lap.”
Who's playing
Leanna Firestone headlines the Omaha stop at The Waiting Room, with Sydney Sprague also on the bill. Firestone’s music sits in the indie-pop singer-songwriter lane, while Sprague is billed as an alternative/indie-rock artist, giving the night a songwriter-focused lineup with both pop and rock textures.
What to expect
Expect a set built around Firestone’s candid, conversational songwriting - songs that turn awkward memories, personal experiences, and emotional loose ends into melodic indie pop. The Victory Lap Tour connects to The Answer, Firestone’s album featuring the single “Victory Lap,” so the show is centered on her current era as well as the intimate, lyric-forward style that has shaped her catalog.
Why go
The Waiting Room is a natural fit for this kind of show: an Omaha live-music room in Benson with an open viewing setup and a reputation for hosting touring indie acts. For listeners drawn to detailed lyrics and close-range performances, Leanna Firestone w/ Sydney Sprague offers a focused pop-and-indie-rock bill in one of the city’s core club venues.
