Jitterbugs' Night Out

Friday, June 5 at Omaha Jitterbugs, Omaha

Jitterbugs’ Night Out (or JNO) has been home to Omaha Jitterbugs since 2001. Join around 130 people weekly for a night of fun and dancing (and you don’t need to bring a partner!) The weekly beginning dance lesson begins at 8:15 PM and social dancing begins at 9 PM. Click the link for more information and a list of special event nights.

What to expect

The evening starts with a beginning dance lesson included with admission, then opens into social dancing with DJed and occasional live music. Omaha Jitterbugs describes JNO as a welcoming space for swing dancing inspired by the Swing Era, with more than 100 people typically gathering for music, movement, and community.

Why go

Jitterbugs’ Night Out is a low-pressure way to try swing dancing in Omaha: you can come solo, learn the basics, and join the floor the same night. Its long history as Omaha Jitterbugs’ home event since 2001 makes it a dependable pick for anyone curious about social dance, vintage jazz, or meeting people through a shared activity.
