Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve
Thursday, November 19 at Mid-America Center, Omaha
Mid-America Center · Council Bluffs $59-$64
About this event
Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Council Bluffs with The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO & More. Enjoy the music, lights and energy.
Who's playing
Trans-Siberian Orchestra mixes classical music, heavy metal and progressive rock in the vein of Pink Floyd and Yes. The touring lineup grows well past the core members, with string sections, extra musicians and choirs. The Ghosts of Christmas Eve takes its name from the band's 1999 holiday rock opera. It follows a young runaway who takes shelter in an abandoned theatre, where spirits help her through music.
What to expect
A production-heavy arena show with lasers, pyrotechnics and big video screens, paired with the band's biggest holiday songs. The Best of TSO & More means the story is joined by greatest hits from across the catalog. The Mid-America Center holds up to about 9,000 for concerts, so expect a full house, a loud room and a very holiday-minded crowd.
Why go
For many families in the Omaha area, TSO is an annual holiday tradition, and this tour marks the band's 30th anniversary. The show is built to be seen as much as heard, which makes it a good fit for a group that includes first-timers and longtime fans.
