About this event
One Sky This is the fulldome feature version of the One Sky Project short films. Each short film represents the perspective of a different culture or Indigenous society from around the globe. Each film stands alone as a short story or in combination as a longer narrative – organized around themes of "Finding Patterns" and developing tools, or as we say, "To Seek Far." Seven short story videos; which one will be selected, you will have to come and find out.
What to expect
One Sky is a fulldome planetarium feature built from the One Sky Project short films. Each short film stands on its own while also contributing to a broader narrative about how people observe the sky, recognize patterns, and develop tools for understanding the world above them.
Why go
For Omaha audiences, this UNO planetarium show offers a science-and-culture perspective rather than a single astronomy lesson. The draw is seeing how different communities interpret the same sky, with the immersive dome format at Durham Science Center giving those stories a setting built for looking up.
